Other Community Events

Mothers Union

Our Mothers Union is a group of women who are part of a worldwide Anglican organisation. They meet at 1pm on the second Wednesday of most months. They support one another, usually have a speaker with a socially current issue to present, and support their aims of caring for children, women and family life.

Mothers Union is a global Christian movement working with people of all faiths to develop communities, strengthen families and advocate for change.

This group is open to people of all faiths and religions, gender and age.

Contact Elizebeth Kidd on +64 9 524 9327 or tironui.kidd@xtra.co.nz to discuss and find out what months the meeting is planned.

Other Special Services and Events

During the year we have a variety of special services. We share Ash Wednesday services with St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church. We share our Good Friday service with three of Mt. Eden’s other Churches. On Easter Weekend we have a special service on Saturday night as well as the usual Easter Day Services. We have a Pet Blessing Services in late September. And on Christmas Eve we have a special Children’s Christmas Service at 6pm.

St Barnabas also hosts the Mt Eden ANZAC Parade each year, along with the support of the Mount Eden Business Association and other local Churches other community groups, and the Albert Eden Local Board.

We also take part in the annual Auckland Heritage Festival, with the help of our parishioners.
