Playgroup
Please note: Playgroup is currently on hold until further notice as a result of the Covid-19 restrictions in the Auckland area.
We have a very active playgroup that meets every Tuesday morning from 9.30am - 11.30am in the church hall. The Play Group provides a place for pre-school children and their parents to gather for company and fun. We ask that you please contribute a donation of $3.00 per Child each session to help with the ongoing costs of running the program. The playgroup is accredited by the Ministry of Education and is required to meet certain safety and education standards. It is a safe, happy, fun place to bring your preschoolers and has a great reputation in the community. All are welcome.
St Barnabas Playdough Recipe
2 cups of plain flour
Half a cup of salt
2 cups of boiling water
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
1 tablespoon canola oil
Food colouring to suit
Mix all ingredients together in a pot and stir continuously over a low heat.
It becomes hard to stir as it cooks. The above ingredients only make a small amount so, if you want more playdough, make 2 batches separately.
